Why I will like Jimi Agbaje to win Saturday's election-Mute Efe

Free of any external influence I will like Jimi Agbaje to win the gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on Saturday. My reasons are as follow:
1. Every government needs a strong opposition as a check on its excesses. The reason APC became a strong opposition was primarily because it had control over a state like Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of the nation. Had it not been so, the story would have been different. ...Now that APC is at the centre, it is only right that if there will be a strong opposition during their reign then the opposition must be in control of Lagos.

2. Some say that Lagos has been sidelined in terms of Federal Government's presence in the state because it was under the control of an opposition party. That is true. There are abandoned Federal projects scattered all across Lagos State. However, Lagos is a big boy. He can take care of himself like he has always done with or without Federal Government's support. And I am very sure that if the IGR of Lagos is judiciously utilised, Lagos will be like London in 4 years. Even history shows us that Lagos has NEVER been in alignment with the centre yet he survived.

3. The only way APC can provide evidence that she is different from PDP is to see how she will treat Lagos if Lagos is under an opposition party. Anyone can extend a hand of fellowship to their friend. Extending a hand of fellowship to one who is opposing you is the true test of character.

4. Inasmuch as Lagos has done well under APC, the question is, "In comparison to what?" Over N62B invested in Lekki-Epe expressway and just about 50% completion. How are we sure that half of that money is not in Tinubu's account? Just asking. Lagosians have the right to say to anyone, "You have done well, but please sit down, let us also try someone else." After all, the reason most people take 3 different meals everyday is not because the first meal was bad. It is so that the diet can be balanced.

5. This is the part where I laugh that my wicked laugh: Hehehehe! Hohohoho! Hahahaha! I don't know about you but it just feels good to know that I have the power to remove and replace. Even if it is just for the fun of it. I tell you, that feeling is awesome. So, after eating the same food for 16 years, I think I need something new. And if Jimi happens to be a food that upsets my stomach, come 2019, I will ask him to come and read this post. But for now I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Disclaimer: I am not a card carrying member of any political party. All points raised are entirely my personal opinion and the last time I checked, I still had the right to my opinion.
